 June 08 of Abounding in Christ
The love of many shall grow cold Alas, the days are coming when spiritual darkness shall encompass all lands and the light of truth shall be reduced to a few flickering candles; which most men shall ignore, because they love darkness more then they love the Light. Religions shall abound that are based on lies born of spiritual darkness and hypocrisy. Alas, the love of many shall grow cold, like the embers of a fire whose flames long ago died out. Brethren, without the purifying blazing flame of the light of truth to cleanse our lives from evil; all of the precious fruits of the Spirit that we hold so dear shall be greatly diminished. As Jesus said, Because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold. Iniquity is living a spiritual life based on lies and hypocrisy instead of the bright light of God's eternal truth.
