 October 14 of Abounding in Christ
Jesus is called the rock of ages The storms will come and difficulties will beset us all whether we live by the words of Christ or not; the difference is that by building our lives on the foundation of the words of Christ, we will be able to withstand the floods of distress when they come. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the words of Jesus Christ will never pass away. This is why Jesus is called the rock of ages. God has laid a foundation in Zion, a sure foundation; a foundation on which, if we build our lives we will be able to withstand all the onslaughts of the powers of evil. Jesus Christ is that sure foundation that God has laid in Zion.
