Everything that comes from God is good and everything that comes from our own selfish desires is evil.

Therefore seek God's counsel in all you do and lean not on your own understanding.

That which comes from God will prevail and that which comes from ourselves will fail.
Brethren, take the little time it takes to seek God's counsel in all you do.

To go through life without God's guidance is like a sea captain to go to sea without his naval charts or a traveler who goes on a journey through unfamiliar territory without a map.

What needless suffering we all have endured because we didn't take it to the Lord in prayer.
It is better to avoid evil than to seek God's help to extract yourself from it.
