Oh, Lord! Deliver us from the onslaughts of the evil one; defend us
in the time of need, oh Lord!
For no evil can beset us unless you allow it and no afflictions
comes to the life of a saint except it be for the glory of God.
All things, both the afflictions and the blessings, work together
for good for the person who loves God and who has responded to
God's calling for his or her life.
Though I walk in the shadow of the valley of death, I will fear no
evil; for you are with me, Oh Lord, and you are able to defend me and
keep me from all harm.
All God has to do to overcome the afflictions of Satan is to shut
the gate.
