The testimony of Jesus Christ Jesus said, Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. (Matt 7:15) Brethren, do not reject all prophets because there are so many false prophets; but instead learn how to recognize them both. The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of all prophecy. (Rev.19:10) A true prophet than is not a fortune teller (one who foresees future events); but a true prophet centers his teaching and his life on the testimony of Jesus (the words that Jesus spake and sealed by His blood on the cross of Calvary). Old testament prophets were prophets because they foretold the coming of Jesus the Messiah. New Testament prophets do magnify the words of Jesus the Christ.
