©10/23/2002 Jim Welch Scriptural references for: October 23 Verbatim references: None Refuse to become discouraged and keep on
walking through life in the bright sunshine of hope. Keep on walking on the sunny side of the
street. Without hope we cannot long endure the
inevitable trial of our faith. Faith without hope is like unto a plant with
little or no root; at the very onset of a drought the plant will
perish. Jesus said, But he that received the seed into
stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy
receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a
while; when tribulation ariseth because of the word, by and by he is
offended. To endure the trials of life we must have
patience; but patience is born of hope. Without hope we cannot have
patience. Without patience we would quickly be
overwhelmed. |
