Burn into my heart the fire of zeal for Your Heavenly work, oh Lord;
that I may keep pressing on and not become dispirited; but remain
enthusiastic through the many defeats and set backs that I will
encounter on the road to your Heavenly gates of glory.
Though being persecuted, yet I will rejoice; though suffering loss,
I will count it as all gain; though being downtrodden and rejected by
men, I will not despair; though being hated and despised, yet I will
continue to love; though being denigrated and treated as an outcast,
yet I will heap praise upon others and only speak of the good that they
have done.
Let Your purifying flame of zeal continue to burn in my heart.
